Deisgn & Fabrication for Modern Times Beer expanstion projects in San Diego, Encinitas, Oakland, Anaheim, & Portland.
Our goal with the interior spaces was to use unexpected items in thoughtful ways to keep our guests engaged and always finding something new. Each location was developed into a dream-like wonderland with its own personality.
During the process, I developed a way to make “tile” in a cost effective and time friendly manner by screen-printing plywood with our custom design. This made the design and installation process simple and budget friendly. There were various challenges to make objects that would stand up to guest wear and tear, but also be new and interesting. My personal favorite was the 50ft pinata mural - I individually cut vinyl sheeting to make pinata-like material that wouldn’t degrade in the portland mist, and I am truly proud of it.
